Birth Moms Talk About Making a Hospital Plan

An Original Video | Birth Mother Voices

Denalee Chapman October 11, 2015

Our birth family panel discusses how important it is to have a plan before going to the hospital.  Who do you want in the delivery room? What time will you want alone with your baby? When will the adoptive parents hold your baby? What about the birth family members? Who will be in the delivery room with you? At what point will the adoptive parents take over responsibility? It is important to know that things may not always go exactly according to your pre-arranged plan. But sharing your plan with all involved, including hospital personnel, will help things go smoothly.
