Because certain agencies work only with specific countries, it is best to choose the country first, the agency next. Research should be done prior to beginning the process of adoption. Visas, approval, home studies, and types of children available will all contribute to your decision on which country you will adopt from. There are many in the adoption community that will be happy to share their experiences, thus allowing you to make the right choice for you. In this video our panel discusses their adoption experiences as well as specifics they have learned about countries. There are some countries that are more adoption-friendly than others. Even still, it is possible to adopt from countries that are less seasoned.
