Although CPS says it is a rare event — housing foster children in state offices — it still occurs. With just a small annual stipend for clothing, the need is great for donations for clothes as well as for other things. One foster father speaks out as a news reporter visits with him.
Foster children need loving homes that are also safe and comfortable. State payments to foster homes are low enough that often foster parents end up “in the red.” More state money is needed. More foster homes are needed to care for our children and youth in every state.
