Dairius, age 11, talks about his experience in foster care, and then being adopted. Having no idea what was happening at different times in his life as he bounced from foster home to foster home, he was surprised when he found out that he was wanted by his mom. He came home to a home, a room, a dog. Dairius was thrilled about adoption.
Excited to meet his extended family, Dairius loves adoption. As he got used to family life, he became more and more stable. Dairius has learned about unconditional love, about family life, about acceptance. Adoption through foster care is a true gift.
