Sandra Roth shares with the Wall Street Journal their adoption story of bringing their beautiful child home from Ethiopia. Touched by the words of a missionary, she told her husband that adoption had caught her heart. The two of them felt the pull to Ethiopia where they met their daughter, Melesech. She was three years old and there was an immediate attraction among them.
Now well-adjusted and a true member of the Roth family, she has not forgotten her roots, but she is grateful for her life now.
This video takes us to Ethiopia where we meet with birth father. He talks of life in Ethiopia, including the difficulties of raising a family without a wife. She died of malaria, leaving six children behind.
