There are currently over 400,000 children in foster care. A full 25% of those children are adoptable, meaning they will not be reunited with their birth families. They need forever homes, forever families, consistency, and love now. Too many of those children (more than 23,000 each year!) age out of the system before finding families.
The Dave Thomas Foundation for Adoption provides grants to public and private agencies across the nation to hire adoption recruiters, who use the Foundation’s signature evidence-based child-focused recruitment model to find the right family for every child. Recently released research proves that youth served by this model are up to three times more likely to get adopted.
