Adoptive parents understand the joy of the first look at their child. There is still a melting heart, a feeling of warmth and belonging, an immediate attraction and love for the child.
The Dave Thomas Foundation for Adoption believes that every child deserves love and consistency. Every child deserves a forever home. There are over 100,000 children currently in foster care who will not be reunited with their birth families. They are waiting to be adopted by families who will love them and provide the care they desperately want and need. Too many of these children will age out of the system before finding their families.
