CBS San Francisco has been following a foster youth for the past 10 years. Foster child, Lily Eagle Colby has beaten the odds. This inspirational story of a child who has been tossed from foster home to foster home, recently graduated from the prestigious Boult Law School at UC Berkeley. Lily’s life changed and she became determined to become her best self and to reach out to lift others, at a young age.
The organization, Students Rising Above has helped many youth, like Lilly, to achieve their educational goals and thus propel them onto their life dreams. With their help, and with her own determination to rise above the obstacles life threw at her, Lily graduated from college and married her love – all in one week.
