For most foster teens, all that is needed is encouragement and role models, to ensure success in life. Too many, having been abandoned or removed from all they know, have no clue that college is actually an option for them.
When opportunities are presented, when kids realize they have people who believe in them, and when they think there’s a chance at success these youth step up. They begin to believe in themselves, and they start to dream again. As hope replaces despair, as ambition replaces ambivalence, success is the result. Foster teens turn into responsible youth.
