Britton Lynn of Fox 6 News in Birmingham shared this story of the Kinsley Family. Ms. Lynn loves telling this story because adoption has touched her life as well. Her father was abandoned as a child, found at a church, and taken care of by the police officer who found him. He eventually found his forever parents in a neighboring state.
Little Haven in this story was six months old and weighed only seven pounds when the Kinsleys were able to finally bring him home. There are about 153 million orphans in our world. Only about 30,000 of those will be adopted each year. The alternatives to adoption for these orphans are horrific.
