Stillbirth is something no mother or father can prepare for. Carrying a baby for seven, eight or nine months, then experience the hard work called “labor” and finally, delivery. Only to have your baby never take a breath is devastating. About one in one hundred and sixty pregnancies result in stillbirth. Often, the reason for stillbirth is unknown. But even when the cause is evident, the pain is not lessened. The surreal experience of holding your perfect child, only to have to say goodbye, is inexplicable. These children are held forever in our hearts.  Little Evan Michael Flanagan is one of those children and will be loved forever.
