After searching and searching for seven years, this Korean adoptee finally finds her birth mother and plans a much-anticipated trip to reunite. Growing up “different” and not really feeling like she fit in with any culture, the prospect of reuniting in a foreign country was scary.
But the reunification was tender for both mother and daughter. Maintaining a relationship at such a distance, and having lived different cultures and having different languages, the drive is still there. This lovely Korean adoptee has mixed feelings, now, about international adoption.
