Families in Michigan are speaking out against the recent signing of a series of bills which permit adoption agencies to deny individuals and couples who do not fit their religious or moral criteria. WWMT in Kalamazoo visited with one family made up of a gay couple who has adopted children in the past. They say that many families are now destroyed before ever getting a beginning. But the new law which allows agencies the freedom to reject potential parents also requires them to refer those whom they reject to other agencies who may provide for them the adoptions they desire.
