The Nordens may look like any ordinary couple … happy, in love, and hoping to start a family. But these two are anything but ordinary. Resilient, tenacious, and optimistic might be good words to describe them. Perhaps the best word would be admirable. You see, the Nordens bounced back time after time (seven times, to be exact) from failed adoptions. They loved and they lost . . . yet they continued to hope. Hope led to trust—a tenuous trust that had been chiseled at time and again, yet it was enough. Watching the Nordens’ adoption journey proves that there is joy at the end of hardship. And it proves that loving, even through loss, is a good thing.
