Fundraising for NECCO, the Rec Center at Marshall University in West Virginia held an indoor triathlon last week. Because it was held indoors, the courses were shorter and less severe. But the purpose was clear: Raise money to help foster children.
NECCO has a presence in Georgia, Kentucky, West Virginia, and Ohio. They believe in the power of families and that “troubled children and young adults should be re-educated” so they, in turn, can create and maintain strong families.
The organization offers help with foster care, adoption, alternatives to detention, and transition from adolescence into adulthood.
