Keith Urban and Nicole Kidman have two children together: 7-year-old Sunday Rose, and 5-year-old Faith Margaret.

For Nicole, the nurturing instinct has always been strong. She greatly desired to become a mother, but “I had tried and failed and failed and failed. Not to be too detailed, but I’ve had an ectopic pregnancy, miscarriages, and I’ve had fertility treatments. I’ve done all the stuff you can possibly do to try get pregnant,” she said several years ago.

This difficulty conceiving led Nicole and her husband at the time, Tom Cruise, to adopt. From their marriage, the couple were blessed with two adopted children, Bella, now 22, and Connor, 20. Of her adopted children, Nicole said, “They are generous, kind and hardworking. And these are traits that I love to see in my children.”

In an interview with WHO Magazine, Nicole said of her children, “All of my kids are highlights of my life. I remember when we adopted Bella, her looking at me for the very first time. That is extremely powerful, like a kind of birth, too. They are all my biggest joys.”

Now, at age 48, Nicole and Keith have announced that they want to continue to grow their family through adoption.  Stating that “there’s only so much time,” Nicole said that depending on the energy and time that she and her husband, Keith, have, they would like to look into adoption again. The news is that adoption for their family will take place sooner rather than later.

With all of the traveling and work that the actress and country singer husband are involved in, staying in touch with each family member can be tough. But embracing technology, Nicole told ET, “I have four children, so to stay in touch with them is very important.  I’m definitely engaged in it, but I don’t let it rule my life.”

Fans everywhere wish this loving family much success in their future adoption efforts!
