Parents Talk About the . . . Unexpected . . . Things Their Kids Have Done

An Original Video | International Adoptive Parent Voices

Denalee Chapman December 22, 2015

Joining our fun panel of adoptive mothers as they share difficult and funny and unexpected parenting experiences will be a joy for you! All children surprise us at times with their quirky behaviors, their tantrums, and their miscommunication. This seems to happen more frequently and to a greater degree with newly internationally adopted children. In this video one mother shares her dismay at having her preteens throw a fit inside of a grocery store, then lie down on the floor, refusing to budge. Another shares her experience just a couple of weeks after bringing her two-year-old home. She stepped out of the house for just a moment and he locked her out. Keeping humor alive during these trying times will add to the memories and help to lighten your load as you adventure through international adoption!
