Payton is a sweet and kind boy who is hoping to find a Forever Family who loves all things related to trucks and the Cowboy lifestyle! He is a wealth of information when it comes to talking about what makes for a good truck and how to work on them. His current favorite truck is the Chevy Silverado Duramax. Payton wants to be a mechanic when he gets older and would love to have a hands-on Dad who shares his passion and can teach him even more as he grows. When he’s not thinking about trucks, Payton really enjoys other outdoor adventures like camping, hunting, digging for treasure, riding electric scooters and 4 wheeling through big mud puddles! Payton recently had his first adventure riding a go-kart and proved that he is quite the skilled driver! Some of Payton’s other passions that might make him a great fit for your family include a love of country music, dogs, racing games on the PS4, family board games and pepperoni pizza.
This resilient boy wants prospective families to know that he prides himself on helping with chores and having responsibilities and would love to live on a farm. Though school isn’t his absolute favorite thing, he does like math and reports that he is really good at it. Payton has played soccer and football in the past and used to be involved in Cub Scouts. He would love to have a family who would encourage and support him in getting involved in extracurricular activities again. Payton is proud of all that he has overcome in his young life and describes himself as “very brave and strong!”
Payton thrives on structure, stability, and consistency. Parents who possess these traits and have TBRI training and/or an in-depth understanding of the potential effects of childhood trauma would be an ideal match for him. Payton needs a family who can commit to continuing the community services he has in place that are helping him to grow and thrive. Payton is very social and affectionate and craves having loving people surround him. He is likely to bond very quickly with his new family. Payton’s Permanency Team believes that he will do best in a calm, smaller family with a very involved father. Environments that can be too chaotic would not be a good fit for him. Payton’s team is open to hearing from home-studied Idaho families, as well as those from other states, in an effort to truly find the perfect fit for him. Payton is considered a legal-risk placement at this time.
If you believe that your family can provide Payton with the qualities his team is searching for and you are ready for a lifetime of fun and adventures with a wonderful young man, we would love to hear from you today!
