Charity GoodrichHi! This journey is full of so many mixed emotions. We are so excited to add another child to our family. We are very aware that our happiness will cause heartache to you and be one of the most challenging things you've ever done.
We have 3 very open adoptions and have seen what each family has gone through to share each one of those children with us. Please know that we are very aware of you and have the very deepest respect and love for adoption. We are hoping for another open adoption, we can’t actually picture it any other way.
It’s hard to describe our journey and our family in a quick paragraph but we will do our best to give you a snap shot of our lives.

It’s hard to describe our journey and our family in a quick paragraph but we will do our best to give you a snap shot of our lives.
Our story began when Jaymie asked Jesse to a girls choice dance in high school. We soon became high school sweethearts and a few years later were married in the Logan Temple. We have lived in Northern Utah, Arizona, Central Utah, and eventually ended back up in Northern Utah where it all began. We were married for 6 years before putting our adoption papers in. We cherished that time as a couple and faced many challenges that helped us grow closer. Soon we were contacted by Lindsey who was 7 months pregnant with a beautiful baby girl. We were blessed to be chosen to adopt that sweet baby girl. Her name is Henslee and she is now 12 years old. Through our open relationship with Henslee’s Birth Mom we were introduced to her best friend Olesia. About a year later Olesia placed her newborn son with us as well. Nixon is now 11 yrs old. Our daughter Henslee was later diagnosed with a rare genetic disorder called TRAPPC9. One of her therapists had a friend who was pregnant and looking for information about adoption. We reached out to her to help provide any information we could and were ecstatic when she later chose us to be the parents of her little boy. We are now the proud parents of a very loving, busy 7 year old named Mack.
As a family we love to be together! Whether that is camping, skiing, watching movies, swimming, traveling or just being in the back yard jumping on the tramp ! We look forward to getting to know you and you becoming apart of that family.
It has been so special for us to watch the relationship that each of our children have with their birth families. It’s awesome to have others love our kids as much as we do. The bond they have with their birth families cannot be put into words. Adoption is really about love! We are grateful you took the time to read our letter. We are thankful for selfless women who helped us build our family and we would love to get to know you! Please don’t hesitate to reach out with any questions.
Love:
