Ever since we met, we have talked about adopting whether or not we have biological children on our own.

Why Not. We both have big hearts and lots of love to share. Ever since we met, we have talked about adopting whether or not we have biological children on our own. We were blessed to welcome our handsome son early in our family. However, now the time is right and it is clear that we want to and can love, cherish, and share our home and our heart with more children. Adoption is our God-given miracle to continue growing our family.
Our Story
Fast forward 7 years later, we are still growing.
Our Wedding
Evens and Myrline's story is a match made in heaven and managed on earth. We met through a mutual friend while we were living miles apart. Evens was in Haiti and Myrline was in the United States. With the help of technology, we began talking on the phone and then video. We shared our values, goals, and life aspirations. It was not long until we realized that, maybe, just maybe, we are in love with each other. Myrline then traveled to Haiti to meet Evens. It was an instant connection. A year and a half later we said our vows in front of an exclusive group of friends and family. Fast forward 7 years later, we are still growing. We are learning so much about each other. We are learning to better communicate. We are learning to better support each other’s dreams and aspirations while putting our family at the forefront of everything we do.
We make a conscious effort to spend time with each other, like random dates or a quick short getaway to refresh and rejuvenate. We also believe in giving each other time for personal space. We are far from perfect, but we are thriving along. We do love each other and express it out loud.

Our Adventures
We love to travel. We love taking mini vacations on long weekends. We have embarked on several adventures over our 7 years together including traveling to Chicago, New York, Boston, Florida, Georgia, Canada, South America, and the Caribbean. As a family, we love to go to the zoo and aquariums, as well as visiting different parks. We also enjoy finding local events and fundraisers to go to in our area, as well as spending time on the lake.
Our Traditions
We love food. We love spending time with family, especially eating and playing together. Our dining table is a combo unit with billiard and table tennis games. We play games almost daily as a family. And we have friends and family over quite often. Our family loves sports. Evens is a basketball lover. Myrline adores soccer. Myrvens plays soccer. Together we watch football on Sundays. We love celebrating birthdays and Christmas.
Myrline's Family
Myrline’s mother raised 4 children; 2 girls and 2 boys. Myrline is the oldest child. Myrline siblings live all across the US from East Coast to West Coast, from California to New York. Her brothers have a total of 5 girls. Myrline sister just had a baby girl and she is adorable. A total of 6 nieces. Myrline’s mother died a little over 4 years ago and she was the sweetest mother and grandmother on earth.
Evens' Family
Evens’ parents raised 5 children; 3 girls and 2 boys. Evens is the second child and the first son. Evens was born and raised in Haiti. He came to the US almost 10 years ago. Evens older sister lives in Brazil with her husband and her son. His younger brother and mother live near us. His two younger sisters live in Haiti. Evens' father died in a car accident when Evens was 13 years old. Evens, being the oldest son, helped his mother carry the load and raised his siblings. He has cultivated the heart of a father at a very early age.
Myrvens
Myrvens is all boy! He loves to be outside, run, tumble, and play! He has the sweetest disposition and will make the best big brother ever. He is the first to comfort his friends when they are hurt. He loves books and school, as well as cars! He has already earned quite a few academic awards. He loves family movie nights with popcorn. And horse.
Our Home
We bought our house in November 2023. We found a charming antique home tucked away in a neighborhood near a lake with a bike path and a park. It was love at first visit. We are only steps away from the lake and the trail, with birds watching, beautiful skylights, sunrise and sunset. The house has 6 bedrooms, 4 bathrooms, with an open floor plan living room, dining room, and kitchen. We are putting our personal touch on it to reflect our welcoming characters. We have made friends with neighbors in the area who also have young kids. We have block parties for the kids (and adults too) and it is beautiful to watch.

Myrline is the embodiment of grace under pressure. Her ability to keep calm in the most stressful situations is an absolute gift. She knows when to fight and when to pause when to just smile and move on, and when to walk away. In addition, her ability to lift up others and pull the good out of them is beautiful. Myrline is competitive and graceful. She loves fun games. At her core, she loves children. Her calling in life is to inspire children to reach their full potential. She has a true gift when it comes to nurturing and connecting with children. Hence, she is a great mom, aunt, spouse, and child advocate. She is simply Amazing! .

Meet Evens by Myrline
Evens has such a big heart. He is always looking for ways to help others, especially young men in need of mentorship. In addition, he is always looking for ways to spend time with our son. They have the most fun daddy-son time. He loves to mow the lawn and dance at the same time. So silly:) Evens has a caring heart for his family. He has always supported his family in every situation. His empathy for people during the darkest times in their lives and his ability to encourage them throughout the process are absolutely gifts from God.
