Wayne Tesch, the founder of Royal Family KIDS talks about the reason for starting the Royal Family KIDS Camp. He said, “My past and my future collided … and I knew that was what God had called me to do … to work with kids in the foster system.”
In this video, neglected and abused kids share from their hearts. They share real feelings, and not surprisingly – those feelings are pretty common among foster kids. Feelings of confusion, fright, insecurity. Loving adults can and do make a difference. They help kids learn to trust again; they help kids learn to love and to accept love.
There is great success found during the one week at camp. Often kids are hooked up with mentors who help them to heal; they regain hope. Sometimes a miracle occurs and children find their forever families.
