A San Diego, California nonprofit organization, Just In Time For Foster Youth is making a difference in the lives of kids aging out of foster care. For those transitioning from foster care into adulthood, the challenge can be enormous. This is where Just In Time steps in, supplying these youth with home furnishings, laptop computers for schooling, and mentoring.
To help diminish the daunting statistics for those who age out of the system, volunteers and organizations are teaming up. “We want the young people to be confident, capable and connected, and we know just like Joseph that they are going to take that and give back to other foster youth and to the community,” said Executive Director Don Wells, when referencing what one recipient of their assistance has done with the help.
