Robin Barton was just 4 hours old when he was found, umbilical cord still attached, behind a garbage dumpster. Then-police officer Michael Buelna worked to resuscitate little “Adam” and met with success. Now, 25 years later, Robin, Michael, and Robin’s adoptive parents were able to get together in an emotional reunion. All parties are grateful for that day and recognize that miracles took place.
Robin has forgiven his biological mother, who was later arrested and spent three years in prison for child endangerment and attempted murder. She was just 19 years old at the time.
All involved in this amazing story encourage women who find themselves unable to care for a child to safely place the child with authorities rather than abandoning the child.
