There are currently over 800 children in the state of Virginia alone who are ready to be adopted and are just waiting for parents who will love them. They are in the foster system through no fault of their own. These are good children who have had bad experiences. Sadly, most of them will wait about 3 years for a family—that is, if they get a family. Most of the children waiting for adoption are a little older—nearly half are at least 10 years old.  Many of these waiting children are part of a sibling group. These kids just need loving, forever homes to give them a good chance at a happy life. Consider adopting through foster care.
