Oleksandra, two, became Sandie when she left Ukraine with her adoptive mother, Jamie. This military family was thrilled to welcome a new little girl into their home.
Coming through the airport terminal, Jamie pushed the stroller with Sandie in it. Seeing her husband and sons waiting for them, as well as other friends and family members, was just the welcome Jamie had hoped for. Sandie was welcomed with such love and anticipation, that there is no doubt her new life is off to a great start!
Adopting Sandie was not the first adoption attempt by Jamie and her family. They began trying to adopt a special needs child from Russia, but with legalities it did not go through. Their hearts still pulled toward orphan adoption and they were able to meet with success when they found Sandie.
