Matt Ricketts was adopted. He’s always known that his adoptive family is right where he belongs. Raised with love and strong family ties, Matt knows that family is where you grow and learn and become.

In this video, Matt shares his feelings about growing up adopted, about birth families, and about being a parent. After he and Mandy got married, they learned that having their own biological children would be unlikely. But for both of them, adoption was not an option that they had to struggle with  It felt natural, and it was an exciting prospect.

Going from adopted child to adoptive father has been a smooth transition for Matt. He and Mandy love being parents. Their ultimate joy comes from family. The couple has two adopted children who are every bit as well adjusted and happy as Matt is.
