After being matched, then meeting Marta in Ethiopia, they had to leave. Separation was painful, but pictures and Skype sustained them. They prayed for Marta, thought of her, talked of her.
Just 12 weeks later, Shelly got the word – she left America and returned to Ethiopia. Loving all of the children and loving the country, Shelly was especially excited to wrap Marta in her arms again. The Labers have a great love for the country and the people of Ethiopia. It is from them that they have little Marta, a darling who lights up their lives.
