Adoption-related advertisements are starting to become the norm. More and more people are reaching beyond social media and are now advertising on Craigslist to spark the attention of birth mothers. Advertising that an adoptive parent is willing to pay living expenses for a birth mother could be just the thing to attract birth mothers.
Laws limit adoption advertisements by still requiring hopeful adoptive parents to have an extensive background check and home study. Birth mothers are cautioned to ask the right questions and to be sure the parents they place their child with is the best match.
