In this 6-minute video, adoption through foster care is told through the mind of young Alex. He shares what life was like before adoption, and how happy he is to have his family now. Alex came with a little sister, whom he helped to protect and care for before leaving his birth home. Since adoption, his parents have adopted one more sibling–another boy. This family of 5 is thriving on the abundant love in their home.
Alex’s parents found him through Amara, a non-profit group in the state of Washington, which helps find permanent homes for foster children. They have been in business for over 90 years (formerly Medina Children’s Services) and are responsible for facilitating over 70 adoptions annually.
