Created by DA Blodgett St Johns, this is Ann’s real story of foster care. She talks of having to step up and be the caregiver in her home, protecting and caring for her younger siblings. Ann never really had much of a childhood, but being with a functional foster family taught her what life should really be like. Ann realized from her positive foster care experiences that she could choose the best in her life. She could make changes and become who she wanted to be.
“Each case is an actual person and not just a case,” says Ann, as a reminder to all who have contact with foster children in foster care.
