Jessa Duggar gained her fame, along with her huge family, on TLC’s reality show, 19 Kids and Counting. Shortly after controversy caused the show to be pulled, a new show took its place, Counting On. Jessa and her husband, Ben, continue to be in the limelight.

Since the birth of their son, Spurgeon, there has been talk about when the next baby will come.  Jessa’s sister, Jill, has made mention that she’d like to be pregnant soon and hopes that the two can be pregnant at the same time. That statement, along with social media photos of Jessa, have spurred rumor that rather than adopting, Jessa is pregnant.

But Jessa and Ben have been forthcoming about their desire to adopt.  “Usually, when your baby reaches about nine months old, that’s when they ask you to come back and start your paperwork,” Jessa stated. Knowing others who have adopted and seeing what a blessing adoption is in the lives of families as well as adopted children, Jessa and Ben could very well add to their family through adoption. “We don’t know what the future holds, but as the Bible says, ‘Man plans his way, and God directs his steps,'” Jessa told US Magazine. “So we want to move forward with paperwork and a home study, and just be ready for however God opens those doors.”

It was in a recent promo for an upcoming Counting On that Jessa said the couple has started the adoption process. How long it will take has not been revealed. But fans are excited for the Seewalds to add to their family both through adoption and future pregnancies!
