In this video, our panel of birth mothers share some of the hurtful and hilarious things people have said. They also share their feelings about those comments and how they reacted. For those in the adoption community who have had to deal with off-the-wall comments and questions, please know that you are not alone! Most of what is said is out of ignorance, without thought given to the real meaning behind the words. Truly, it’s a matter of being educated about adoption and all that it entails. So with that in mind, turn a deaf ear to the hurtful comments and prepare to educate those around you.
