Along with partners throughout the county, CASA has developed a new program called Candles of Hope. Knowing there are many foster children who rarely get to celebrate their birthdays in a large fashion, the executive director of CASA of Hancock County began coordinating efforts to bring birthday cheer to foster children in the county. The program provides birthday cakes for foster children so they will know they are remembered and loved on their birthdays. The very first Candles of Hope birthday cake was delivered just last week, much to the delight of a little girl who requested Elsa be the star of her cake!
