Previously featured on the local news station in Tyler, Texas, little Nathan has found a forever home. His adoptive mother shares her love not only of Nathan, but also the gratitude of a mother who recognizes that there is a great gift in loving and living with a child who has a disability. Nathan’s family has felt the call to adopt – and they’ve found great fulfillment as Nathan has become a part of their forever family.
Without a doubt, adopting a special-needs child requires patience and perseverance. But the rewards are worth it. Nathan’s family has watched as he has succeeded in unexpected ways. He has become a leader in his family which includes other adopted children as well as biological children. Although it may take Nathan a bit longer to learn things, he is stalwart and strong and retains what he learns. Adopting Nathan has been a true joy to his family.
