An 11-year-old foster child has been taken from her foster home in Virginia to be returned to her home. Her adoptive father was been convicted of molesting his children, and the child is terrified. Gary Smith, adoptive father, has not yet been sentenced, but has been ordered to stay away from the home.
That doesn’t bring much peace to the child. She is not the only one being returned – another daughter is also being sent home. The adoptive mother says she was not aware of any misconduct until the investigation began. The foster parents in this case are calling upon those in authority to intervene and let the foster child return to the place she feels safe.
