Grandparents Joe and Carol are beyond concerned. If all goes as Department of Child Services (DSC) expects, their two granddaughters will be adopted by their other grandparents within weeks. This would mean an end to Joe and Carol’s relationship with the girl–but even more disconcerting, their future adoptive parents have already adopted a teenage boy who has had problems with drugs and sex. They have called upon DCS to further investigate, but the response from DCS is that they are aware of the situation, but are not concerned. The news reporter also spoke with the adoptive mother who has admitted that there have been drug-related problems with their adopted teenage son, but says that he does not “hang out” at the house, so the girls will be fine.
