How to Cope with Mother’s Day While Waiting to Adopt

Have You Seen This?

It’s important to know how to cope properly while waiting to adopt, especially with the upcoming (and oftentimes heartbreaking) Mother’s Day. Lifetime Adoption created this video of one adoptive mother sharing the strengthening methods she used while waiting for her adopted child.

It can be a stressful and anxious time — really wanting to be a mother and yet, you find yourself  still waiting. One suggestion includes praying not only for yourself and for your future child, but also praying for your child’s birth mother.

Mother’s Day can be a hard time for the motherless, but there is always hope. The best advice is to focus on the things you are grateful for while you’re waiting to become a mother.
