Andy and his partner found out they were selected to be dads just a week before the little boy was born. The men were there when the C-section was performed and they were among the first to hold the child. While out of the hospital for a meal, a nurse spoke with the birth mother – doing her best to talk her out of placing her child with a gay couple. She infused the birth mother with fear and concern, even though the birth mother was certain of her choice. In the end, things worked out.
