Emily became pregnant at 19. She was still young in experience and didn’t know where to turn. Emily was not ready to parent. With the help of her own mother, Emily made the decision to place her little girl for adoption. She knew she could have parented her child, but she also knew the best thing she could do for her daughter would be to place her in a home with stable, loving parents. She made the choice based on love and for the 12 years since placing her daughter, she’s known it was the right choice for her.
Emily is now married and the has a family. Adoption was the right choice for Emily and she suggests that women who find themselves unexpectedly pregnant consider adoption.
