Video: Foster Care Families Share Why and How They Help Children

Have you seen this?

ABC Australia meets with a handful of foster care families to give us a glimpse into not only who provides foster care, but also why and how. A common link is that these families know that they have enough love and constancy to share.

There are nearly 40,000 children in foster care in Australia. Just like all countries, these children need to feel safe, loved, and accepted. To protect the children, there is a stringent application process. Foster parents would tell you that it is worth the effort.

Most children in foster care come from difficult circumstances, which may create behavioral issues once placed in a long-term foster home. But with consistency, persistence, and patience, normalcy can be achieved and love fostered.
