There are nearly 40,000 children in foster care in Australia. Just like all countries, these children need to feel safe, loved, and accepted. To protect the children, there is a stringent application process. Foster parents would tell you that it is worth the effort.
Most children in foster care come from difficult circumstances, which may create behavioral issues once placed in a long-term foster home. But with consistency, persistence, and patience, normalcy can be achieved and love fostered.
