From Foster Care to Full Ride

Having been recruited to the University of Florida, Richerd Desir-Jones shares his deep gratitude for all his foster parents have done for him.

Richerd was taken in by the loving Jones family three years ago, and everyone feels like they are close family members. It was Richerd’s foster father who was the first to introduce him to sports; the very thing that is bringing him a full ride to the University of Florida.

“I didn’t know in the beginning that I needed him more than he needed me,” said his foster father.
