There are about 8,000 foster children in the state of Wisconsin. Of course, the aim is to recruit more and more loving foster parents like those featured in this video, the Salmons. Having grown up in a family who fostered children, Cheri Salmon wants to also make a difference – one child at a time. Cheri knows first-hand that it is a lot of work, and a bit of a lifestyle change to become a foster family. But as Cheri says, “If not me, who?”

With 8,000 foster children, the state currently has about 5,000 licensed foster homes. This means, of course, that some homes have more than one foster child. Those wishing to become foster parents in Wisconsin, or desiring more information, please click here.
