Helping Others Who Are Experiencing an Unplanned Pregnancy

An Original Video | Unplanned Pregnancy Panel

Many who have experienced loss of any kind feel that they must be “strong” and not needy. Such is the case of one of the members of this panel. Yet regardless of the strength of an individual, placing a child for adoption (even when one knows it is the right decision) can bring many emotions. Having someone to talk with, to share with, and to listen can make a huge difference in healing.

Remarkable, indeed, is that often it is in helping others through their own experiences that your personal healing can take place. It is a great gift to others to have you share—and it is a gift to yourself as well. Becoming a mentor or a member of a support group to advocate for others who are experiencing an unplanned pregnancy may be healing for you and will definitely help those who benefit from what you have to share.
