This family goes on their journey to adopt from Ethiopia.
At the beginning of the film you see them preparing to leave. They pack and bring a crazy amount of things. I wanted to understand more about that, so I did some research. A lot of times for international adoptions families bring items to donate to the orphanage so that they can help the other children who are not getting adopted with needed supplies. I think this is a wonderful act of service.
I love once they get to the airport how the family’s son plays with his new brother. They are instant buddies, and that is what adoption is all about. This family brought their two children back to the US, and it’s great to see the huge amount of love and support these kids already had waiting for them, even though probably had no idea what was waiting for them once they got off the airplane.
