So many families feel called to adoption. Many of them feel their child is in a foreign country. And so, the journey begins by deciding on a place, then locating the child. Following that is paperwork. For some, depending on the country and the agency, the paperwork can seem daunting. But hopeful adoptive parents persevere and eventually the mounds of paperwork come to an end.
The result, after sometimes years of waiting, is a joyful, happy union of parents and child. There are times when the first meeting isn’t all it’s anticipated to be. There is often fear on the part of the child, and concern on the part of the parents. But when all of this is overcome, a family is created and that much more love becomes a part of our universe.
