Shared on KristyTV, Juanita talks about her experience finding out she was pregnant at age 14. Scared and secretive, Juanita hid her pregnancy for 6 months. When a teacher discovered Juanita’s pregnancy, she insisted Juanita tell her mother. Her mother was upset to learn this news. Juanita was forced into placing her baby for adoption. There was a lot of rebellion and angst, but because it was an open adoption, Juanita has been able to reconnect with her child.
Now, years later, Juanita is grateful for the family her daughter has. She is able to see that adoption was best for her child, and encourages others in her circumstance work hard to get out of the depression of the past and move forward.
