Kathy McAfee spoke at a 2010 TEDx event, where she openly shared her personal story of two rounds of In Vitro Fertilization. After both rounds resulted in failed attempts, she and her husband were sitting in a movie theater one night when they saw an ad to recruit foster parents. Kathy knew, deep in her heart, that adopting through fostering would be a blessing to her and to her husband. Adopting through foster care has brought great joy into the lives of their two boys and into their own lives as well.
