We started with an adoption agency for the adoption of our second child. After a few months without any contacts, and based on the long wait we had with our first adoption, we decided to be more proactive by signing up for Adoption.com Parent Profiles.
Our profile was activated in late July and by October, we started hearing from prospective birth mothers. We heard from our son’s birth mother first, but in total heard from about five birth mothers between our activation and our adoption. We initially talked to our son’s birth mother in October and we met her in early November. She selected us as adoptive parents in mid November. Three days before Christmas, our son was born!
