Arnie was born in January 2006. He has been diagnosed with mild cognitive delay and hyperkinetic behavior disorder for which he takes medication. He also has strabismus, astigmatism, and is farsighted.

Arnie is an agile boy with well-developed gross motor skills. His fine motor abilities are improving and he shows diligence in tracing letters and numbers on worksheets. Arnie has good receptive language and can lead a conversation despite some difficulty with accurate pronunciation of words. He shows good imagination in role-plays and enjoys participating in group games with his peers, especially ball. Arnie has difficulty concentrating and quickly jumps from one activity to another. He treats older children and adults with respect and loves praise and physical affection. Arnie manages his personal hygiene independently, keeps his space neat, and helps clean up after meals.

Update May 2017: Arnie is a boisterous child who exhibits mostly positive emotions and has a good understanding of his surroundings. He strives to be a leader in his peer group, can be impulsive, and may show unintentional roughness; however his understanding of appropriate behaviors for joint play and peer interactions has improved. Arnie could achieve his true potential if given the attention, love, and resources of a forever family.
