When growing your family through international adoption, travel is always required. There are specific things that need to take place in your preparation to travel. Immunizations, passports, visas are all required as well as some other paperwork. Packing is a guessing game when it comes time to pick up your child. You may need to pack baby formula, diapers, specific sizes of clothing, medical equipment if needed, toys, strollers, and anything else that may be required if your child has special needs. Many adoptive parents picking up their children internationally will pack three or four sizes of clothes to be sure to have something that is sure to fit. Talking with other parents who have adopted from your country will be invaluable.
